The Mouse and the Tremor - Parkinson's Disease Message Board

Hello, does anyone have any advice, tricks on the best way to use the PC when you have a PD tremor??
The mouse is very difficult, at times. I slowed down the clicks but it is still a challange.

Conchata, i have a Dell pc and i don't know for sure this will help you, but i clicked on start, clicked on control panel and then clicked on mouse. Their are several options there, a few can adjust the speed which the mouse will respond. This may or may not solve your problem.

You might see your doctor for an adjustment in your medications, because it looks like you have a lot of tremor. Sinemet is the most effective drug, if you can handle some dyskinesia.

I'll check at Best Buy, to see if they know of another kind of mouse. What about something that you talk into, voice command. Have you heard of anything like that? By the way it is my husband that has PD. He is home all day and I would love to see him become more familiar with the internet by using the PC. Also, I e-mail him from work with little, just little honey-do's and would love for him to write back to me. ha ha
