Hiya, just looking for anyone familiar with Parkinson's disease, my neurologist has not diagnosed me with Parkinson's but feels it is a possibility.
About a year ago I starting having some numbness in my right foot and leg, then I began having strong pain in my neck and face. MRI revealed nothing wrong with my neck, and brain scan was clear. I have had 'episodes' where I am so weak I can barely walk, my legs feel as though I've run a marathon. About three months ago I began having tremors in my right hand, I notice it when my hand is at rest and if I move or contract the muscles the tremor stops. At first it was random, every couple of weeks, now it's every day. I've also been experiencing blurred vision. I can make my eyes go back into focus but it is uncomfortable, the episodes with my vision seem to come and go. My husband says sometimes my upper body rocks back and forth as well but I haven't really noticed this.
We've ruled out MS and a bunch of other things. As far as I know Parkinson's is not usually associated with pain? I still think it may be an issue with my neck pinching nerves, even if the MRI's don't show any problems!!
Just wonering if anyone has any ideas, I'm so frustrated with the doctors I've seen but I'm not able to function fully with the sympoms I have. I deserve to feel good darn it!!
Thanks,
Anna

Your situation is very similar to ours. My husband just turned 37 and has been experiencing a lot of the same symptoms. All his symptoms developed over the course of about 8 months.....pain in calf muscles (which eventually disappeared), then cramping in his left arm and tremors in his hand. It's mostly an action tremor and he is having trouble moving his fingers individually . His shoulders and neck are very stiff and I think he is still convinced that it is a pinched nerve, although 2 MRI's and a CT don't show anything. He was diagnosed by a neuro as having Parkinson's in July and sent to a Movement Disorder Specialist for confimation, who also diagnosed him as having PD, but sent him for a DaT scan because of his age, etc. The scan ended up being normal, indicating no PD. The neuro still not convinced, put him on Sinemet to see if he responds to the meds. If so, it's PD. If not, who knows what? My hubby just started the Sinemet 2 days ago. Hopefully this info helps. Have you been further diagnosed since posting? Good Luck!

Mama Anna - You are my age. I was just recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Plus. I am thinking they have it wrong though.. With the plus that is. My legs does the same thing as yours do, and eyes, my legs feel like heavy jello (and rock back and forth not by my choice). It is so hard to find people to talk about the stuff they go through every day with these issues. I have sat and cried not being able to do things. I work in woodworking, and its so difficult to do. I tell my husband I will have to be put in a wheelchair before I give up! But, I would love to talk to you through pm sometime.
