| 23 with PD.
Howdy all. New guy here. I was diagnosed this year at the ripe old age of 23 with PD. Been through all sorts of misdiagnosis and my new neurologist gave me some Sinemet and it made me feel like a new man. I've got to see a movement specialist now as well because of my age. I'm "a special case". I had/have all the classic signs. Tremor while resting, stiffness/soreness in the morning, internal shaking, and big problems with the shuffle walk too. The Sinemet makes everything go away for the most part. (Being relaxed does as well) I don't talk to anyone about it besides my family so I thought I would talk about it here so I can retain a certain degree of anonymity. I'm just waiting for my disability hearing because I have cerebral atrophy as well. Not sure if it's directly connected with the PD or not. The main reason I filed for disability is due to cognitive issues from the PD and atrophy. (Horrible memory, can't follow directions worth a you know what, confusion, vision issues, and seizures.) Not to mention I take Depakote and Vimpat for seizures and they have their own fun side effects. I feel like a bad husband and dad because I'm so tired and confused, I walk around all day feeling like a brain-dead zombie. I never know what day it even is any more. Plus, my mother told me that she noticed that I'm getting "The mask" already. Oddly enough, I've noticed it in pictures too. I just don't look as happy. *GASP*
