| mirapex hallucinations/delusions help
I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. My mother has been on sinemet and mirapex for 5 years. She has gained over 40 lbs on the mirapex and is very addicted to sugar. She has had pelvic pressure for the last several months which progressed to severe pain and a trip to the ER. They thought she had a UTI and prescribed keflex which she took. The pain continued so they told her to stop the mirapex which she did very quickly. Since that time, her mental status has taken a HUGE nosedive and she is hallucinating and delusional day and night. My Dad and family are panicked and my Dad isn't sleeping because she sees things all night. I have not had a coherent conversation with her in a week and am planning on heading up there this next week. Has anyone had this kind of experience? I am a nurse and would like to bring her down here to stay with me for a while and am wondering if there's anything we can do to get this out of her system faster? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is an absolute nightmare for my parents and my mother is terrified most of the time because she sees men with guns. Thanks so much, Laurie
