I know you must be scared and frustrated. On the other hand - is the sinemet helping? That's the #1 way PD is diagnosed. I didn't easily see how old you are. Especially if you are on the younger side, it may not be the best choice (at least not alone) at the beginning. If your doctor isnt a neurologist, you should seek an appointment with a neurologist, but better still try to find a movement disorder specialist who specializes in PD. After I was diagnosed a local neurologist said to me "oh it's just parkinson's I can treat it, you don't have to drive 2 hours to a bigger city" and I said "Let's see, I got in with the chief of movement disorders at a major hospital versus a local neuro who specialises in ADHA. - I'll keep going to ROchester, thank you."
Anyway - I'm on three drugs, all at what are considered low doses - the short story is requip to help the body make more of it's own dopamine, azilect to help the body use whatever is there more efficiently and sinemet for artificial dopamine.
Good luck - I don't check these boards very often but I'll try to check back for you.
