This is an old post but there are about one million people in the USA with Parkinson's disease. The population of the USA is about 310 million, meaning about 1 out of every 310 people has the disease. The numbers get higher as you get older. I believe that people with Parkinsons in their family have a "slightly higher incidence" (maybe 2 out of every 310 people?). So, there may be some genetic link but not enough to worry about (and if you did worry, it wouldn't help you anyway!).
