Hi Just-A-Boy! I don't want to try to answer this on my own. Do a search on the internet, there's alot of sites that explain this disorder. There are many types of borderline personality disorders. Some seem to overlap and a person could have more than one BPD. That makes it very difficult to get a solid diagnosis sometimes. I hope a search will get your questions answered!......franjo
