Schizoids with Humor - Personality Disorder Message Board

Is anybody out there? This board needs some inertial guidance.
Well, I was looking for some new 'Personality Disorder' websites; new to me anyway. I found one that said that SCHIZOIDS are perceived as HUMORLESS. Well, I have a GREAT SENCE OF HUMOR! Anyone who ever has any contact with me has to be aware of that. I can't help but be funny most of the time. I make people laugh! I make MYSELF laugh! And I love that about me when I do. There has been times when someone DOESN'T laugh when I've said something very funny and that freaks me out. Like what is wrong with THEM! That's just WEIRD!
What do you guys think?

drs like to put people in little boxes where they can say that all people with this disorder will act like this that way it makes things easy for them

and they can get on with there 'safe' perfect 'normal' lives

does that make any sense what so ever? probably not

Nah, I just thought it was funny. I'm still pretty much a 100% Schizo/Shcizoid and my Doctors say so. I was just wondering if any other Schizoids had any comments on this or if they ARE humorless. I actually saw this traite on a personality disorder site.

My boyfriend has a Fantastic sense of humor...he's always playing jokes at work and loves funny movies...So, yes..I agree with you..the Schizoid Personality CAN have a sense of humor...it just gets overshadowed by the lack of intimacy and personal connections we see from day to day. Just my two cents

I agree with you. Perhaps sense of humor is more subtle in schizoids. I was wondering whether you have found any websites by schizoids; I am looking for resources for the category of schizoid personality disorder at Zeal.com, for which I am an editor.
