Sick about my sons wedding - Personality Disorder Message Board

Well it's getting closer & me along with alot of people feel he should not be marrying her. She is so self absorbed, won't do anything she doesn't want to do & has to have her own way all the time. They have been living together & had a baby & it's gotten worse. She will not clean the house, has to be with her Mom & family everyday, obsessed w/her Mom. Now she is getting abusive, thinks nothing of reaching over & hurting him. Calls him names like idiot, jerk etc. Even does it in front of us now & made a remark you won't get what you want later. She refuses to work & doesn't even make his lunch for work. It hurts since he was raised so different, a real nice guy taught to respect women & is crazy about the baby, does alot for her since she was born. I can see she has a personality disorder not sure which one, any ideas?

why is your son marrying her?
does he really love her?

Personally from what I hear she was abused. I think it's a couple of things with him, he adores the baby & was raised to do the right thing. The other is a sexual attraction, she came on pretty strong when he met her & he's young.
He's pretty easy going but is trying to put his foot down more but it doesn''t work. Her mother runs the show, her other kids (sons) walk all over her & she walks all over the daughter, she can't make a move without clearing it w/her first. Just wish it was different but then I made the same mistake when I was young & just about nobody thought I should marry him either.
