My girlfriend has phobias/anxiety attacks.

ok so i love my gf no matter what the circumstances, but im afraid her phobias might make not make her enjoy life anymore.

so she has the strangest phobias:
she is afraid of picking up her little sister and brother from school, because she fears she can't find them.
she is afraid of spiders (ok this one is reasonable.)
she is afraid from underground trains. she had a panic attack when the train light was going on and off.
she is afraid from elevators.

she is also not keen on taking medication. she does not want to be on "prescription drugs."

she has an extremely hard time explaining to her parents, and they think she's very stubborn. She has tried to explain to her younger sister, but shes way too young too handle a serious situation like this.

I am very worried for her..
what shall I do?

suggestions please

Re: My girlfriend has phobias/anxiety attacks.

Well this is the hardest part for most people. My family after 5 years still thinks Ims ome loser that doesnt want to work even though I cant eve step outside (agoraphobia) Most families or most people cant see why someone just cant fix it, like its something that can be fixed ina day or with some pill in a weel. Sad thing is it isnt and her family needs to be supportive.

To raise awareness that anxiety is much more in alot of cases than I cant go here or I get a little anxious when I do that. When I told my family they all said. "Well I get anxious when I drive but I keep doing it" or "Iget anxious around people but I dont let it stop me" this is all fine and most people can work through it.

The best thing I can say is for to keep trying. In the end though she needs to focus on herself and getting better and learn that in the end it doenst matter what others think, they need to accept her or dont.
