Post PHOBIAS AND CHILDHOOD DISEASE
HAVE ANY OF YOU PHOBICS HAD ANY SERIOUS CHILDHOOD DISEASES...I AM SEVERELY PHOBIC AND HAD SCARLET FEVER...I JUST WATCHED A TV SHOW WHERE A PSYCHIATRIST SAID HE THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS A LINK BETWEEN SCHIZOPRENIA AND A VIRAL INFECTION OF THE BRAIN..I AM WONDERING IF SOMETHING SIMILIAR MITE BE THE CASE WITH PHOBICS...

The only serious medical issue I had as a kid was chronic asthma... could that have something to do with my fear of vomiting?

i dont know if there is any connection..i was hoping that if i could find out by asking on these boards if alot of people who suffer phobias had a serious childhood disease it mite be a way to establish a link between the two things
