I've got a lot of phobias. I'm afraid of the dark still, but I'm more afraid of silence. I always have to sleep with a radio on, because otherwise I get really anxious or depressed, or scared. I also can hear the mice in the attic, which really really scares me as well. And then if I am in silence, I feel like I'm hearing things or making things up in my mind and it really really scares me. I don't want to have to listen to the radio anymore--it's bad for your hearing--any advice?

I don't know anything about this, but out of common sense i'm pretty sure its not bad for your hearing at a quiet or normal volume level. Having headphones in cranked to the max, thats bad for your hearing.
Also, get an ipod for the day if you don't already have one.
This might feel like a burden but i enjoy listening to music
Yah I have a mp3 player, but after a while, even on a really low volume, it can damage the ears. Basically it's best to have it quiet while you can, give your ears a break. I could just be being extra paranoid though cause my mom is going deaf. But thank you :3
