I have nuerosis and probably because of that, a lot of different phobias. The last few years, it's been doctors, now dentists. It happened after my moms brain surgery and my fathers subsequent strokes and heart attacks. (I spent a lot of time in ICU with them).
Because of this, I dread any twinge or pain, I also fear side affects of med's so will not take them. Is this a control issue? It's so hard, because lately I have been needing a dentist and (that is another post). It's causing my friends distress because they have to tolerate my out of control fear. Trembling, rapid heart beat, anxiety, dread. It's ruining my life
I've even considered rather dying than having an operation should that arise. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
