Pituitary tumor - Pituitary Disease Message Board

Has anyone been diagnosed with a pituitary tumor? My friend went to an Endocrinologist to have her hormone levels determined and found that she had a high level of growth hormone. After going through several other blood tests it was found that she had a possible pituitary tumor. Her symptoms are increased ring size, increase foot size, increased facial hair, oily skin, increase in her cholesterol and blood pressure levels, fatigue, weightloss, and weakness. She has been told that this tumor needs to be removed surgically. Has anyone else experience this? I don't know what to tell her because I know nothing about this condition.
