thickened pituitary stalk/infundibulum

I am new to the pituitary message board and so I wanted to ask if anyone has ever been told their pituitary stalk was thickened?

If so, please let me know if this is something to be concerned about and what your dr did about it. I had an MRI approximately 6 years ago and was told that my pit stalk was thickened but my Endo dr at that time told me it was nothing to worry about.

Now, however, my cortisol level is low as are my TSH, T3, T4 and low prolactin. My periods also ceased without having to go through menopause. I do have hashimotos and newly discovered thyroid mass to be biopsied soon.

I'm just wondering if perhaps all this started years ago with my thickened pit stalk and maybe should have been worried afterall.

Anyway, I would be very interested to learn if anyone else has had a thickened pituitary stalk come up on their MRI results before?
