Hello! I am a 26 year old female who was just diagnosed with a *barely* macroadenoma this past week. My symptoms so far have only been severe vertigo with a migraine every single day for the past 5 months. I had blood work done this past November that ran my prolactin and my thyroid but was told it was normal (obviously, I will be getting those records and will be getting a full work up soon). My neurologist brushed my symptoms off as just a regular migraine, but I was worried about a pituitary tumor because my mom has a prolactinoma and my migraines were very similar to hers. She was diagnosed almost 22 years ago, has gone through surgery and the gamma knife and just weeks ago found out it has grown back again for the third time.

I was wondering if anyone else has had a family history of pituitary disease and if anyone has been tested for the MEN1 gene. From what I understand, the gene can affect a lot more than just the pituitary, I just find it very strange that we both have a pituitary tumor. We do have many family members with overactive thyroids, growth problems, etc but no one has ever been tested.
