Pitutary Problems....maybe a tumor

Hello!

I was diagnosed with Sarcoid in January 2013, Crohn's in March of 2007. Now a possible pitutary tumor. What else?

I am currently going through tests. My Endo is checking my levels trying to figure out why my IGF1 was a little high.

Here are the results

Test 1 IGF-1(no fasting) 255

(Thyroid was normal I did not get the #'s for that test)

Test 2 IGF-1(fasting) 240

Test 3 Also did Growth Hormone-- normal of 3.0 (under 10 is good says the nurse)

TEst 4: Today I am doing the 24 Hour Urine/Cortisol Test (no fun)

Test 5: Tomorrow I will go a Glucose test.

I am a little confused why she is doing the glucose test. It sounds like the one done when I was pregnant I will get a test, drink the 70g of soda then two hours and another test. What fun

Symptoms I have:

Hair Loss (on my head it falls out a lot)

Headaches

Depression

Weight gain problems (reason the doc tested me. I am trying very hard to lose weight. I can gain so easily but it is hard to lose)

Sweating and hot (somtimes I get very cold too)

Trouble Sleeping

And a few others.

I have been reading a lot trying to get a handle on this. I have taken steroids in the past and had a head injury as a child. Nothing definitive that we can think of causing this higher IGF1

Any input you can give would be great! I might even be in the wrong place.

thanks,

Karen
