Can you strengthen pps muscles?

The muscles in my legs and The Doctor believe that the muscels around my heart and lungs are also getting weaker. I have been told that there is no way to strengthen pps muscles, but I have also heard that you can. Does anyone have any info on this?

Re: Can you strengthen pps muscles?

It is so important that you see a doctor very knowledgeable about PPS to get advice on exercising, etc. It's very possible to do much damage if you aren't monitored and taught properly.

Re: Can you strengthen pps muscles?

I would be wary of trying. My Polio was not properly diagnosed and I was forced to do sport at school, even though it caused me problems. The result seems to be an autoimmune problem that causes me severe difficulties if I attempt to overuse my muscles. I don't know if this is a direct result of the forced exercise, or merely a trigger ,in my case, but it's possibly not worth the risk. Gentle exercise and stop if it hurts, might be a better bet.
