Hello,

Okay this may sound like a dumb question but can the only people who get Post Polio are the ones who've had the disease itself?

My doctors keep telling me I have Post Viral Syndrome. I don't know if the two things are similar or not. I have tons of pain everyday. This has been going on since last March. It has interferred with my life to a point where I had to quit my job due to the pain.

Hi,

Post-polio syndrome is only in people who had polio itself. Sometimes a bit of the initial polio disease became inactive but did not disappear. Later in life, it can become active again, causing weakness and other problems.
