Question Polio Gene?
I got a call from my mother today and she said when I was young and being tested for RA the doc found a gene or something from polio. I guess my grandma had polio when she was very young and my mother clames thats where I got it from. However I cant find anything on the net about it. I love my mother very much but waiting till I was 32 years old to tell me this is odd. So I am not sure if it is true or not. If anyone has any info I would be very greatful Thank you

Michele,
Polio come from a virus not a gene, so I dont think it was anything frokm youre grandma that give it to you. I hope the polio has not effect you to bad, I am 24, I got polio because I did'nt get the vacine, my right leg is paralyzed but I can handle it ok I am married and have 2 girls 4 and 2.
