Sister Kenny treatment

During the Detroit polio epidemic of 1958, I was chosen for meningits, with very similar symptoms and placed in the Henry Ford Hospital polio quarantine section. There I received daily (every 3 or 4 hours as I recall, though memory is unrealiable because of the fevers and cognitive distortions) Kenny treatment from volunteers. Outcome was almost 100% recovery of function though I too experience post polio syptoms and have ever since "recovery"

I would very much like to hear from the Kenny volunteers what their experience was like. In my ward, a lot of us were dying and most of us experienced great pain from the passive exercise. I have always wondered how the volunteers were able to do it.
