Question about Progesterone (P4) with PCOS?

Okay, I have a question, I'm going to an RE...today I went for a P4 test 7dpo. My question is, people have been telling me that my levels should be above 15 for someone that's been taking Clomid and someone that's not on any medication should be above 10. Well, my RE says my levels are fine for being on Clomid...my blood test came back today as 11.7, should I be worried. People around me are telling me that I need to be put on Progesterone supplement ASAP. I'm so worried, but want to trust my RE and want to know that they're doing the right thing for me Can anyone help?

My RE says that my numbers should go up, if next week they're not up...then they'll be worried.

Re: Question about Progesterone (P4) with PCOS?

I assume you're trying to get pregnant with the use of Clomide? I was put on progesterone suppositories during my first trimeter once I managed to get pregnant. I was seeing a fertility specialist at the time but he said nothing about progesterone to me during the conception preocess. Good luck!

Thumbs up Re: Question about Progesterone (P4) with PCOS?

I had the same test done while on Clomid, and my highest level on 7DPO was 10.9

I started to freak out because everyone had been telling me that it needed to be above 15, but my dr said that was a totally normal #, and he can't believe people out there are saying such things! LOL I felt better, but still. When you read it everywhere you turn, you can't help but wonder.

I bet that your level was totally fine. Have you had your uterine lining measured in your luteal phase? That would tell if you were low on progesterone, too. At least low enough to carry an implanted egg.

Yep, they did an ultra sound to check my uterus wall and said it's good to go...I think it was cycle day 11 when they check. That should be about right?
