Hi there...I am new here to this board. I am here because I believe that I may have PCOS.
About a week and a half ago, I went to the doctor for a check up and some blood work. She ran an entire panel on me, and when the nurse called about my results, she said that my testosterone (sp?) levels were high, but everything else was 'normal'.
I asked her what I have to do about the high testosterone, and she just said to follow up with an
endocrinologist???
Is this the type of doctor that I
should be seeing?
I have many symptoms of PCOS: Excessive body hair, Infertility, Irregular Periods, Abnormal Weight Gain, Anxiety.
I also get stabbing pains several times a month in the general area where my ovaries are, and they can at times be quite painful.
I figured for a diagnosis like this, I would have to go to a Gynocologist. Is this correct?
If anyone can help, please guide me in the right direction, right now I just feel kinda lost.
Thanks!
