Does this mean you have a cyst on your ovary?

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is when your male hormones get too high and you get tiny, tiny little cysts that cover your ovaries. You can have a cyst on your ovary, but not have PCOS. My daughter is 20 and was diagnosed earlier this year. She has never had regular periods, and they were getting worse, with only about 4 normal periods a year.

Hello,
PCOS people can have cysts on and/or in the ovaries. In order to determine whether you have the syndrome is to get an internal exam and have blood work done. Some people have cysts and do not have this syndrome. Good luck.
