I sure have some of the symptoms:

-large amount of hair growth (face, stomach, butt)

-no period for at least 4 months

-gained at least 10 lbs

Please help, i'm so worried

I would say that it is a very good chance you have it. I would see your ob ASAP and talk to him about it.

Your symptoms sound quite like it However call the doctor to get this confirmed or rule it out.

Is a gen prac. good enough to see? What will he do to determine whether I have PCOS or not?

I went to my Ob/Gyn! He did some blood test, a biopsy of my uterus (to rule out other things), and just by us talking. There is no one test to say it is or its not. I would say it took about a month for my doctor to officially diagnose me with it.
