I have finally come to terms with it and i'm sick of it! I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago after going 8 months with no period and various other symptoms. But, I guess it just didn't click with me and I ignored everything. My doctor put me on birth control...I believe minestrin was the last pill I took. It was short lived though, as were about the other 5 types I had tried previously. I felt like the pill was making me miserable, depressed and just plain bitchy. My doctor encouraged me to take it for 3 months but its hard to take something for 3 months when all you want to do is lay on the couch and cry! Or stop it and go out and have fun...hmmm which to choose?? Anyways, as I said - after 2 years I've come to terms with it. I have a doctors appt in a week and several issues to bring up. My main one being, I guess I should probably go back on the pill to help with regulating the cycle and hair growth...but...i'm REALLY hesitant due to my past experiences and the weight gain side effect. So, after that huge rant, my main question is - what do you guys think? It seems to me EVERYONE is on the pill! Have I just not found the pill for me? I wouldn't think its good to keep starting and stopping with different pills..Also, I've read a lot about low GI diets. Does anyone follow this? I seriously need to lose weight and get this thing under control. Thanks!
