I am new to this site, too, and it's apparent not many people respond to newbie posts! But, anyways, welcome to the site!
I understand what you're feeling and going through. In order to understand my situation and "issues" a little better, check out my post in this same forum with the title, "Newbie! (tad long, my apologies)" ...
Anyways, as you will find out, I was diagnosed with PCOS last Summer, 2006. I was put on Metformin but after being diagnosed with Diabetes almost 3 months ago, they changed my medication to Januvia and put me on Fortamet, which is the extended-release form of Metformin. (I was always sick on regular Metformin) Anyways, I tried Clomid 2 rounds and failed, but we were also dealing with MFI because of my husband's motility. Anyways, you will read about all of that if you check out my post.
This "disease/disorder/syndrome" is pure hell, from what I've known of it since I was diagnosed. I was ALWAYS petite/skinny, in shape and athletic (dance, cheer, gymnastics) until I became bulimic/anorexic at 17. After seeking help a couple years ago, I slowly gained weight & continued to gain. I've never been regular with my cycles, and am trying to lose all of this gained weight the *right* way! If you'd like, we can be PCOS/Weight Loss buddies as I could use one who really understands what I am also going through. Everyone will tell you that it's possible to conceive with PCOS, etc, and you can, but it's extremely difficult for many people. (from what I've gathered)
The diet pill you're taking, is it prescribed? A friend of mine was prescribed "Phentermine" and my PCP offered me a prescribed diet pill as well where I would be closely monitored but I wanted to try it with watching portion sizes, exercise, etc first! I'm sure my post hasn't helped you much but I will tell you - it's possible to conceive, PCOS doesn't rule your life, and you will lose the weight as long as you stay motivated & dedicated to it!
