new to this - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Message Board

hi my name is lori i'm a 26 year old mother and wife and last year my doctor told me that i had somthing called PCOD and that she didn't really know much about it so i should look on the internet and talk to other people about it.i have not since been back to the doctor because we lost our health insurance.
i also have yet to tell my husband or my family.i wake up every morning and roll out of bed to take care of my three year old but what i really wanna do i crawl right back in bed and shut out the world. do things get any better.how do i bring this to my husband and family.i come from a big family and i'm scared

Hi,
I was diagnosed almost twenty years ago and nobody I knew or spoke to had even heard of it, including some of my other doctors. There are so many option/treatments out there now, I'm sure if you have a good OB/GYN you will have the ability to get pregnant again. In my case, at the age of 38 (that was 8 years ago) out of the blue, my normal cycle started up again and I conceived. I had not had any treatment in over 10 years at that time. Go figure. I am now going through what I call my "second menopause" and this time I'm the "right age". Never give up trying for what you really want!!! Good luck and God Bless!

Well I'm 26 too and when I found out I immediately told my husband and he has helped through this....U should tell urs u need his support
