I recently went to my gyno cause I hadnt gotten a period in 4 months.
well he did and ultrasound and saw 2 ovarian cysts. I was sent for blood work and everything came back somewhat normal but my lh and fsh were off on the ratio. So he sent me for a 3 hour glucose and insulin test. I got a message today saying the insulin level came back abnormal. What does this mean? I do have really bad hypoglycemia especially if I eat sugar. I also get headaches and dizziness. Could this all be related?

Yvonne: It sounds like some of the primary symptoms of PCOS. Did your GYN say anything more when he/she called about the 3 hour glucos results? Have they asked you to make another appointment? Do you have any thinning of your hair or any extra facial hair? Sorry for all the questions, but there are so many different symptoms w/PCOS and some women have them all and some just a few.

If the GYN hasn't technically diagnosed you, I would ask. There are some treatments that they can do to alleviate some of the symptoms.
