| Re: Anyone tried Diane35 for PCOS?
PCOS is a serious life time disease. You have to take care of yourself and make a total life time change… such as regular exercise and eating healthy (eating like a diabetic). PCOS is a pre-diabetic condition. If you don’t change your diet now there is a very good chance you will get diabetes in the future. Your body’s inability to regulate insulin properly coats your organs such as you ovaries with fats etc. These organs in turn give trouble. Your ovaries have trouble releasing the eggs through the ovaries and this creates follicular cysts inside. Your body then starts to produces more testosterone to force the eggs out. This testosterone then leads to hair loss and other hormonal problems like acne and excess facial hair. (the main problem with the Pill is that it makes your body’s ability to regulate insulin worse). So you have to control your diet and on your doctors recommendation take medication to regulate your hormones. If you are over weight then reduce your weight. Very often you will find your hair might return back to normal if the insulin is regulated. If not you will have to look at other options (stronger hormonal medication).
A normal GP will not be able to help you. You have to get a recommendation by your GP to a Endocrinologist or a good Gynaecologist. The doctor you go to should regularly check your progress. Like take blood tests/scans every 3months or every 6months or so.
Again I have to stress that PCOS is a life time medical condition. So you have to take your health seriously.

Also depending on which country you live in contact your government Department of Health as ask them where you can get further information.
Natural remedies… (Should be taken in addition to medication from your doctor)
Saw Palmetto – reduces testosterone
Greeen Tea & Yerba Matte Tea – reduces DHT
Switch your shampoo to a Nettle Shampoo – washes off some DHT
Take a multi vitamin supplement or iron supplements.
Hope this information helps.
