I am a 20 year old that has had pcos since 2007.
Recently I have taken action to my pcos and went to the docors. Previously the doctors in the past told me that I just need to exercise and eat healthy. Well my new doctor has put me on birth control and wants to put me on metfourim ( spelling?) I would like any advice on weather I should go on this med or not. I am recently engaged and do not want kids for a very long time. If anyone can give me advice that would be wonderful.
Also:
Even on birthcontrol my periods are killer heavy and killer painfull. Wish I had answers but none so far..... please can anyone help
both of these are used for pcos, the metformin may help you lose weight, but is mainly to help with insulin resistance. The pill is also helpful, I've found yasmin to be the best one and I had the heaviest, most painful periods you could imagine it was just out of control.
