Cyst Ultra sound please help!

I have an ultra sound scheduled tomorrow because my doctor found a cyst on my right ovary on my last exam but he gave me provera because I'd been bleeding for over a month. Due to the provera I am still bleeding and it's very heavy bleeding. Can they still do the ultra sound? I thought a cyst ultra sound was performed similar to a heart ultra sound and was not aware they actually stuck something in you. Anyone know if I will still be able to get the ultra sound done? Thank you.

Re: Cyst Ultra sound please help!

You probably already found out your answer but a pelvic ultrasound can be done on the outside of your pelvis. When they go in to look it is called a transvaginal ultrasound. I have had plenty of both due to ovarian cysts!
