Cramps but no period
Hey ladies,

I have been taking my Metformin consistantly for about 3 months. I can tell it's helping because finally 9-15-12 I got my period for the first time on my own in almost a year. Now were in November and I still haven't gotten another period... but I have crazy cramps! I never used to get cramps unless I was going to get my period.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a good sign or a bad sign?

I also have cramps all the time.I think the cysts on your ovaries can cause it.
Also,Metformin can make you gassy or have diarrhea which can cause cramps too.
What is your dosage of Metformin? My periods have come back after not having any for 3 months.Maybe you need a higher dosage,or some other medications.
I'm on 100mg a day of Spironolactone too and 10mg of Prozac,and it seems like those things all help me get a period.
