| Any advice
I would appreciate any advice or feedback. I am 19 years old. My periods started at 13, it has always being irregular, I only get it 4-5 times a year, but now it's even fewer. I do an ultrasound and blood work every year, but the results are always normal. This year, the ultrasound showed multiple cysts in both ovaries. However, my blood tests were all normal. So, my gynecologist said I have PCOS. For treatment, he says I can either take birth control continuously or provera every 3 months (I took provera before and my period came). Do you think I have PCOS or is there any other reason why my period doesn't come? It's not in my family history. I'm not sexually active nor overweight. Why would I have this condition? Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks!
