there is nothing "dumb" about it at all. Ptsd is the mind's Natural reaction to an un-natural or stressful event, time is irrelevant as many people have the same situation although each and everyone different in thier own way. Things that you personally might think shouldnt bother you or you should be over may still require your attention to come to terms with sooner or later.
teh important thing as said in the previous reply is if you can seek professional help do so.
If you feel you cant approach someone like your doc etc dont feel daft about it. If you can talk to someone or if you have in the past now would be a good time to ask to borrow thier ear again and get thier opinion maybe just the support of someone you know going.. "ok your not mad" might be enough to encourage you to take the step towards getting help and looking for that assistance even if your not 100% sure doesnt make you a fruitcake either..
