Dear boxer_dog_luv,
Welcome.
I also have a PI case going on and find it rather difficult to get past it.
The attorney's tell me not to contact anyone and though I have the utmost respect for their decision-making, I feel an overwhelming need to be vindicated; on all levels.
I have contacted the offices of the Governor, Attorney General,Senators in my State,NYS Insurance Department, D.A.'s office, Justice Department, Ethics Committee and Mayors office; just to name a few. I have many "eyes" on my claim.
I've got it (PTSD) bad.
Insurance companies are supposed to have your best interest at heart and are usually under obligation to protect you, their client.
I am surprised that they failed to represent you; oh yes, it is now clear; there was no other company to go after.
No physician has ordered testing? Are they working for the insurance company or what?
The medical insurance companies attach a lien (I was actually the one to call them) onto the claim and the attorney(percentage plus fees), then the medical insurance provider/s, gets their pay; whatever is left over is yours
I've had surgery and a strong possibility of a few more.
I actually
want this to go to court.
Let them take a look at my past, for that is what it is, the past.
I've done so much since my mother passed in 2002(God Bless) and to have all come crashing down on that day................anyway.
I have spoken to anyone who would listen. Let them twist the truth:
Dear Astrid,
There was no witness on the police report; out of the blue, a witness is born.
This "witness" lied about the facts of the accident and on so many levels, their insurance policy limit does not seem to cut it and will not even come close to equate the pain, suffering and aggravation that I am going through.
How do you put a dollar amount on the fact that I cannot even play sports or go to amusement parks or movies with my daughter.
I could go on but you get the idea.
If you are having flashbacks or headaches, etc. as I am, you definitely need to discuss this with the physician.
If you have adequate insurance, your provider will pay, reluctantly.
I would check your policy limits to see what you have to work with and see if you are coming close to satisfying those limits.
I have been given so much advice that it adds to my cervical migraine headaches.
As this is a PTSD site and we cannot make a diagnosis for you, please see if a therapist might be helpful.
What exactly is causing you lack of sleep?
Personally, when I attempt to do anything I used to, I automatically get flashbacks and cannot concentrate but that's just me.
Take care
God Bless
FTM
You may need a therapist, along with MRI's, etc.
