PTSD from stalker - Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Message Board

It's a long story, I had a stalker when I was younger. It started when I was in the 3rd grade, and went all through high school, he seemed to pop up everywhere. No one did anything about it and I thought it was my fault, so anyway I have a lot of panic attacks when out in public. Anyone else share the same experience?

Sorry to hear of what happened to you - my sisters ex is stalking her - it's not very nice - she has panic attacks and I am trying to get her to see a psychologist because it sounds a lot like my PTSD - I hope you are getting some help - hang in there things can get better although sometimes it feels like they won't - and as to you feeling like it was your fault my sister feels the same way but I tell her that she has not encouraged him and that he is sick so it is not her fault - I have had panic attacks when I see someone that looks like the man that attacked me - but my psychologist is helping me deal with that - I hope you find a way that works for you - take care and keep posting
