my freind wants to know? - Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Message Board

Hi this is a question from my freind, her name is mary and she wants to ask a question to yall.
Ok 2 years ago she was taking effexor 35mg for a week for mild depression, then one night she felt so depressed she took 5 of them 175mg all in one go along with smoking weed and drinking a few bottles of bear, she felt all funny, all weird, not there, dr dp kinda feeling, she never took any more effexor after that and she is still suffering with the same since.. for 2 whole years? she went to the doctors and her doctor just said she has anxiety? has given her meds and none has ever done the trick to make her better? any help advice on what went wrong in her brain? she is from the us and i am in the uk.. thanx for any help and advice o and reading this..

Maybe try asking the people on the depression message board. And tell your friend to talk to a doctor or neurologist and tell them what she did that night. She could have caused some damage to her brain. No one except a doctor would be able to determine that. Good luck to you and your friend.
