post partum depression
I have post partum depression. I have a previous prescription for paxil that I have never used. Can I take paxil for post partum? Or should I be using a different type of anti depressant for post partum? Isn't one anti-depressant the same as the next?

If you are breast feeding then you need to consult your doctor as to which antidepressant they use for post partum depression. Paxil shows up in breast milk so is not good to take. However, if you are not nursing you can use it. Just be sure to refresh your memory and read up on the side effects.
