Late Pill - freaking out

I had unprotected sex about 5 days ago while I was on my period, which ended that afternoon/next morning. This morning I realised I missed last nights pill (the 4th day after I had unprotected sex). I normally take my pill at 6pm, however I took it at around 7:30am the next morning, so I was about 14 hours late. The pill was the 6th active pill in the first week of the pack. I have been on the combined pill for over a year now and this is the first time I've forgotten! I'm freaking out!! Am I still safe? I can't be pregnant right?

Your sex was protected; you are on the pill. Also it was during your period when you are not usually fertile. I am pretty sure you will be ok. If you had sex in the time when you hadn't taken the pill, there any have been an issue, but that is not what you describe. Cheers, Sera
