Re: Just need a little advice...

Well, the unprotected sex 2 days after your period is unlikely to result in pregnancy (possible but not many women ovulate so soon). The sex 2 1/2 weeks later though COULD have resulted in pregnancy, depending on your cycle. If you have the textbook 28 day cycle (and not many women do), you ovulate around day 14 of your cycle (day 1 is the day your period starts). Around ovulation is the most fertile time of your cycle. However, if you had unprotected sex and then are stressing about it or if you're sick or your cycles just irregular, anything like that can delay ovulation by a few days, a week, a month or more. So...you very well could be pregnant. If your period is late, it is best to go the store and buy a home pregnancy test. You can test as soon as your period is late. However, a negative result doesn't mean you're out of the woods...you still could be pregnant and the test not pick it up until another week or 2 or even more. So, if you get a negative test, test again in a week if you still don't have a period.

At that point, you should talk to your mom if you have a negative pregnancy test and no period in 2 or 3 weeks or get a positive test. There are other reasons your period can stay away but since you had sex at a potentially fertile time, the odds are you could be pregnant if you don't have a period by then (particularly if your cycles usually are very regular). It is then a good idea to see the doc and get a blood test to determine if you're pregnant or not.

If you're not ready to face the consequences of pregnancy, you don't need to be having unprotected sex! It's not that difficult to get condoms, and if he isn't willing to use condoms, then he is not respecting you! I hope you're not pregnant for your sake...Good luck with it. Definitely get the home pregnancy test.

Re: Just need a little advice...

I agree...I'm 18 and pregnant and as hard as it is for me to face the fact that I am pregnant, I'm dealing with it. I can say though that we used protection and tried to avoid everything in every possible way but we still ended up where we are. I am married though, so that is a plus at least.

But be careful, you do have your life ahead of you and if you do end up pregnant be sure to put the baby first.
