Re: can you get pregnant during your period?
There is a very small chance you could get pregnant on your period, especially the last day. If you have regular cycles, starting from the first day of your period to the first day of your next period, lasting 28 days, they you most likely ovulate on the 14th day (right in the middle). Sperm can live, I've read, up to 5 days in the woman. I just read on this board the other day that sperm can live up to 10 days (this is very rare though). Usually they live up to 72 hours, or 3 days. So obviously, there is no safe time to have unprotected sex if you don't want to get pregnant, but chances are good that you didn't get pregnant.
