period symptoms but no period
Hi..... So I'm 20 years old & with my bf for years now, we have protected sex quite often but this is the first time that I didn't get my period! I am normally irregular but normally I'd get it about 5days before or after I'm due! I've also went to the doc last month after I had my period & he put me on the pill & told me to only start when I get my period again. I have all the symptoms of it, eg bloated, lower back pain, etc, but I still didn't get it, should I wait or should I just start the pill?

Did you take a pregnancy test yet? If not, that should be your first step. If it's negative then you should either wait for your period to come before starting the pill or, if your period is typically irregular anyway then it doesn't really matter when you start it. For the least amount of disruption to your cycle, if your period is regular, wait until you bleed to start. But take a pregnancy test if you're not sure about being pregnant because it's impossible to tell you based on symptoms.

Thank you so much for the advice! I'm definitely not pregnant so I'll just have to wait 4 my period.....
