How often is fetal movement, at 21 weeks?

HOw often is fetal movement, at 21 weeks?
I thought I had started feeling my baby about 2 weeks ago, when I had this gentle tapping feeling inside very often, but since a few days ago it has been less that when I first noticed. Should I be worried? So far everything thing is been going fine, and we are very happy, This is my 1st baby, and I guess I worry about everything......

Please reply

Re: How often is fetal movement, at 21 weeks?

The movements at this stage are not yet regular. When I was at that stage there were days when I would barely feel the baby move, and others that it would move like crazy. Nothing to worry about. By the end of the second trimester, that is when you will start recognizing patterns of activity and sleep.
Take care,
Daina

I agree, nothing to worry about. Not unless you dont notice any movement. If that happens dont hesitate to call your doc. I'm glad I did, when I didnt feel my lil one moving, and it was a good thing I did, because they ended up doing an emergency c-section. As you get furthur along you will notice a pattern as she said above. And hopefully, your baby's pattern wont be most movement at night... he he

Re: How often is fetal movement, at 21 weeks?

hi
I am also 21wks with my first. I have a pretty active baby that kicks hard in fact other people can feel him now. It is different for everyone. I am also very petite maybe that has something to do with it. I think some babies are never really active. Just depends. Good luck
