I am 30 weeks and I guess you could say I am carrying a little on the low side. When the baby moves I usually only feel it very low near my bladder. Sometimes, but not often I feel it above my navel. Is this normal for how far along I am? Do you think she has dropped already? I won't see my doctor for another week. Any relpies apprieciated
I can remember doing that with my son! I was a nervous wreck. My husband was in the Navy at the time, and anything that ever went wrong I would have to drive to the nearest Naval Hospital, which was almost an hour drive. I did twice to make sure I could hear the heartbeat. My son just was not active during that time frame. They always told me it was due to over crowding and just them getting ready for the big move. Try not to worry, I think that is really common. As long as you feel some movement you will be fine. They had me write down evertime I felt any movement and take down the time. Maybe this would be a good idea just to set your mind at ease.
My daughter got pretty lazy too but they told me to drink a sugary soda or eat a sugary snack and lay down. (For you you would just get into whatever position you usually feel him move) and watch him/her dance! Just don't do it everyday!! They do get pretty crowded and start resting for their big day around this time.
I could feel pressure on my blatter at 30 weeks to, some times I would feel a sharp pain there and have to run the the bathroom to pee even though nothing really came out. Maby your babys head is just down at this time or maby a foot is dangeling. I think the babys head is probably just down, which isnt a bad thing and it dosent mean that you will deliver any time soon, he can still switch the other way. Usually at 35 weeks they like for the head to be down perminatley so that the babys not breech. I wouldent worry to much if I were you. If your still concerned though, call your OB and see what she/he says
Thanks for your replies...I will try no tto worry. I can't help it though, worrying is the very reason I don't enjoy being pregnant. Every little thing scares me. I wish my belly was see through so I could see everything that goes on in there. I will write her movements down and the time I feel them. Thanks for the advise!
Slaughter please try not to worry.. I am 32weeks and I remember as a matter of fact just a couple weeks ago I was so worried because my little girl wasn't moving as much as she was before.. I was sick with worry.. the only reason I knew she was still alive was when she got the hiccups.. Which she gets at least 2 times a day.. Finally at my Dr. Appts I was so relieved to hear the h/b and the measurements and she kicked the dr's hand when he pressed on her.. I knew then that she was just being a quiet baby.. My Dr. said that is was probably because she was doing most her moving while I was asleep.. Also the the whole bladder thing.. my little one seems to think it is a foot rest sometimes.. well all the time.. I literally have been bathroom bound every 5-10 minutes since I was about 22wks..
Now, however, she is a squirmy little thing.. even as I type she is moving all about..
So try not to worry.. although I KNOW it is difficult.. I am sure your lil one is just being a little lazy.. Keeping track of the movements is a great idea and gives reassurance..
Good Luck!!
