Folic Acid..
I have read on some posts about Folic Acid helping fertility after BC? I bought a bottle of 400mcg on Friday and have been taking one a day but I've read on a webpage today that 600-800mcg a day is what you should take. Anyone familar with this or know any other tricks to get your reproductive organs back on track?

I thought you were just supposed to make sure you got enough folic acid even before you started TTC to prevent neural tube defects (spina bifida), which can develop early on in a pregnancy. And most multi-vitamins have the RDA of folic acid.

My doctor told me that when i was looking for a prenatal vitaims(started these before we started trying) to make sure it had 1 gram of folic acid. Alot of the over the counter one don't have that much. They only have the 800mcg. Talk to your doctor. Every doctor is different.

Oh ok, I'll have to ask the doctor when I do go. I haven't went to ask about TTC or anything yet my husband and I just decided to start trying last week I have the worst diet so I'm trying to start eating better foods and getting some vitamins. I'm a fast food/junk food lover.

i have heard this about helping fertility too, but i am skeptical about it.....
although i am very sure it helps prevent netral tube defects, spinabifida
and it is important to take for that reason.....
i had my first daughter 3 months after stopping the pill, and now she is 10 months old and we are trying for #2 , i am taking 800 mcgs a day right now, as i did in the three months we were TTC #1, and she is perfect.....that is enough in my opinion to take it throughout a second pregnancy.
(providing, lol, i can get preggo soon!!)
