The BLOAT!!!!!

OMG you guys if i ever EVAR needed your help it is now. i am sooooooo bloated right now i look like i am 6 months pregnant- i am only 8 weeks. i am very uncomfortable and i don't know why this keeps happening. i have hardly any appetite, so perhaps my stomach gets empty, which i try to keep snacking, but i am also have BM probs. i am pretty constipated as well, so i assume this is a side effect from the constipation. WoW this is awful!

Re: The BLOAT!!!!!

don't take a laxative with out your doctors consent.. sometimes it causes too much movement in your system.
i was told only to take the tums with calcium in it. Good Luck on your u/s

Re: The BLOAT!!!!!

colace and maloxx are absolutly fine for pregnancy
i used maloxx (on dr.'s suggestion) throughout my pregnancy and my friend used colace in hers.
tums is good for the heartburn but does absolutly nothing for gas and sour stomach.
i hope you start to feel better, i remeber how uncomfortable early pregnancy can be....although i had the oppisite of what you have......

ohhh and another safe laxitive for pregnancy is milk of magnesia (also what the dr. ordered)...i used it in my pregnancy.

Re: The BLOAT!!!!!

Nyxin, I have had the same problem.....I feel 6 months prego too. GRRRRR....I got these chewable fiber tablet things. They are orange flavored and really dont taste too bad. I tried other stuff but threw it up. Doc told me that the chewable things are just fine. But I only take 1 per day, as opposed to the suggested 2 per day. One does just fine.

Ahhhhh, the joys of pregnancy. Right now, I am just glad that I dont spend day and night hugging the toilet like I did with my son. Nausous all the time, but not sick - yet!!

Hun, I hope you feel better soon. Just be careful.....dont wanna end up with the roids (hemorriods). SOrry, dont wanna be too graphic, but I hear it is common.
