Hi everyone. I am new to the group. I am 5 weeks pregnant, and my first doctors appt is Aug. 30. I have been having cramps everyday, but generally in the pm. They generally last a few minutes and feel exactly like menestrual cramps. Is this normal? I know some cramps are normal due to "growing pains", but so soon? No bleeding, no morning sickness, but SORE breasts, tired, and 2 positive hpt. Should I call dr to come in earlier?
I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been having slight cramping since about 4 weeks. Everybody I've talked to says this is normal. Just growing pains. I was really freaked out to at first and this is my 3rd. Hope this helps and congratulations!!!
I had the same type of cramping during the first 7-10 weeks of my pregnancy. Everything is fine so far! (I am now at 30 weeks.) I think it is normal for some women to have cramping. My early symptoms were similar to yours, too. Good luck and happy pregnancy!!
I am in the same boat. In fact I just came here looking for the same information. I am 5 weeks pregnant (have never been pregnant before) and I sit here and worry that something is going wrong because of these cramps. It is easy to imagine the worst. I have not seen my doctor yet, but I have the same symptoms as you. Let's keep in touch since we are both in the same place! Good Luck!
I just wanted to thank everyone for your replies. It really helps to ease my mind. When you read the pregnancy books, they can freak you out when you don't see your exact symptoms described. As a matter of fact, only one of the four books I read mentions cramps as "normal". It difficult to have these worries, and no one to share them with because you haven't told anyone the good news. Of course, having these worries makes you even more not want to share the good news because something may go wrong. Thanks agains. It does my heart good.
