Is it nausea or am I hungry?

Okay ladies.......STUPID QUESTION......

Sometimes, I can't tell if I am hungry or getting nausious. Is that stupid? Yeah, I guess it is. I didnt used to be like that. But now.... I can't tell. I tried to munch on something to see if it helps, but eating only makes me more nausious anyway.

Am I the only one that has felt this way? I really hope not, but I would be good money that I am.

Thanks,
Jen

Re: Is it nausea or am I hungry?

When I was preg. I found that I had to eat something right when I got out of bed. If I didn't then I would feel sick and then it was too late to eat, hope this helps

Re: Is it nausea or am I hungry?

Sorry but you aren't the only one, only for me it is more just indigestion. I can't tell when I'm actually hungry and when my stomach is just really mad at me for the last meal. I feel like it is constantly upset and I frequently wonder when it stopped being indigestion and when it started being hunger. Everything I eat now matter how bland gives me indigestion so I guess this is just something I will have to deal with.

Re: Is it nausea or am I hungry?

I feel the same way. I can't tell if the sensation is hungry, overly-full or nauseated. I think it is hunger, but then I can't think of anything I can eat that doesn't make me want to barf.

Just now, I thought I could get away with wheat bread and swiss chease under the broiler, but I ate it and feel like I want to puke. I think I'd feel better if I lay down, but I'm afraid that will give me heartburn. Maybe I should try napping sitting up on the sofa?

Re: Is it nausea or am I hungry?

I've read in several places that an empty stomach can make you nauseated. So, essentially they're the same thing, I guess. Good luck --

Re: Is it nausea or am I hungry?

Thanks ladies!!!! I guess it wasn't such a stupid question. Well, I eat a little something, and then like an hour later, i am either nausiated or hungry again. I cant tell. I guess I will just have to wing it.......

Thanks!!

Re: Is it nausea or am I hungry?

Also, I read in another post about drinking lots of water to prevent recurrent headaches. I was feeling generally head-achey and gross stomach-y, so I thought I would drink a bunch of water and see what happened. Almost instantly I felt a million times better, my stomach quit feeling gross, and I got enough energy to clean the kitchen, the floors, and to make dinner. So maybe that's one possible solution.
