I think I read somewhere that before labour begins your stools get softer and you have diahrea? I am 36 weeks now and for the past week my stools have been much much softer and I have pains like if I were to have diahrea but just the soft stools. Does anyone know anything about this?
When I went into labor with my daughter, I actually had diarrhea and mistook the contractions for diarrhea cramping at first until they were consistent and I realized it was labor. I would talk to your OB and see what s/he thinks. Good luck!
I have heard the samething about this. I was just in preperation for childbirthing class and my instructor said it is common to have diarrhea before labor like that. You could even feel like your having alot of gas, but it could be contractions. I don't know. Ask your doctor.
Your body naturally kicks into the soft mode before labor, because you can't get that baby out if you have stool in your colon It could be like this for weeks or your body might wait until RIGHT before you give birth. hope this helps
